The Working Group No. 11. Panel 1: Lindy, Larry, and Paula stand outside a building. Paula is drinking from a bowl of water. Lindy asks, “So how much are you getting paid to pose for photos?” Paula says, “We’re not posing — we create art with our family and share it with the world.” Larry adds, “I’d do it even if we weren’t getting paid.” Panel 2: Lindy asks, “But how much money do you make?” Panel 3: Larry and Paula look at each other and Paula starts with, “Well…” Panel 4: Paula says, “We live comfortably.”
Panel 5: Lindy, Larry, and Paula stand next to the studio building looking out at their surroundings, including a large mansion in the distance. Paula says, “We have this studio space, and our living space is just over there, plus our cottage on The Cape.” Panel 6: Close-up of Lindy’s face with big eyes that have dollar signs in them. Lindy says, “Wow.” Panel 7: Paula says, “Be careful Lindy. You don’t want your family to have too much money.” Lindy asks, “How could that be a bad thing?” Panel 8: Larry and Paula’s friend is sleeping on a couch in between a cat and a human. Paula starts telling this story: “We have a friend whose family became very wealthy. She’d never lived with another dog — just cats and humans.”
Panel 9: Larry and Paula’s friend sees her family standing with a dog that looks exactly like her. Paula continues, “One day she was taking a walk around the estate when she saw her family with a dog that looked exactly like her.” Panel 10: Lindy smiles and says, “Oh I know this one, the ol’ mirror trick.” Larry says, “No Lindy, not the mirror trick.” Panel 11: Paula says gravely, “Her family had become…” Panel 12: Paula finishes dramatically, “cloners.” Panel 13: Lindy looks shocked and asks, “Cloners??” Paula says, “There’s an identical genetic copy of her at every property her family owns.”
Panel 14: A dog that looks like Larry and Paula’s friend is napping outside on a city apartment balcony. Paula says, “A boho clone for their pied-à-terre.” Panel 15: A dog that looks like Larry and Paula’s friend sits in the snow next to a human wearing big snow boots. Paula says, “A sporty clone for their ski chalet.” Panel 16: A dog that looks like Larry and Paula’s friend is sitting on a human’s lap in a meeting. Paula says, “An evil clone to take to board meetings.” Panel 17: Larry and Paula’s friend is being pushed to the ground by a dog that looks like her. Paula says, “Her biological twin sister from Canada…” Panel 18: Paula ends with, “Understandably, she had an identity crisis.” Larry adds, “She’s still trying to find out how many clones there are.” Lindy stares at them.
