Panel 6: Lindy continues, “I’d seen other dogs do work.” In the flashback, Lindy looks at someone’s phone. The phone shows a dog wearing a tie sitting at a desk with a laptop. Panel 7: Lindy continues, “So I waited until the most distracted roommate in the house opened the back door for me…” In the flashback, Lindy walks down the back porch stairs into the yard and runs forward. Lindy finishes, “and I left to go look for a job.” Panel 8: Zoot interjects with, “Lindy!”
Panel 9: Zoot is clutching at Papi with alarm and says, “Your friend must be worried sick!!” Papi says, “She probably thinks you got run over by a truck or something!” Zoot adds, “You should go back to her.” Panel 10: Lindy replies, “If I can’t find a job by the new moon I’ll go home, that’s when rent happens.” Panel 11: Zoot reluctantly says, “Well I do know someone nearby who has a pretty decent gig.” Lindy says, “Yeah?”
Panel 12: Zoot says, “Not as good as mine, it’s the night shift.” Lindy asks, “Where?” Panel 13: Zoot explains, “There’s a huge building just outside of town, very bright very loud. Ask for Tangelo.” Panel 14: Lindy walks away from Papi and Zoot while saying, “Thanks, smell you later.” A person holding Papi’s car and a person holding Zoot’s button pad are standing in the foreground. Panel 15: Lindy continues on down the street alone while saying, “I hope Sage is alright…”
