The Working Group webcomic number 4. Panel 1: Dolly says, “Our friend Brioche has a great job.” Spencer adds, “Flexible hours,” and Dolly says, “Wonderful work/life balance.” Panel 2: Lindy looks excited and says, “Well that sounds great! How should I get in touch?” Panel 3: Zoom in on Lindy more who continues, “Can we do a twilight barking?”
Panel 4: Spencer looks incredulous and says, “A twilight barking??? With the amount of noise pollution in this city? You must be joking!” Panel 5: Dolly’s eyes are closed as hands with loud cellphones surround the panel. Dolly says, “I can’t even hear myself think with everyone’s phones on full blast.” Panel 6: Lindy looks confused and asks, “Then how will I find Brioche?” Panel 7: Dolly and Spencer glance at each other. Panel 8: Spencer says, “We’ll give you directions.”
Panel 9: A beagle is chewing on a toy that looks like a video game controller. A “crunch!” sound comes from the bushes nearby. Panel 10: The beagle continues chewing. The bushes are now rustling. Panel 11: Lindy’s head pops out of the bushes. The beagle looks up. Panel 12: Lindy starts to step out of the bushes and says, “Hey.” The beagle replies, “Hey.” Panel 13: Lindy approaches the beagle and asks, “Are you Brioche?” The beagle replies, “Nah, Brioche is over there with the rest of them.”
Panel 14: Lindy looks out at a backyard. There’s a balloon arch and a large group of people and dogs gathered beyond it near the back of a house. Lindy says, “Woah. Is this… a birthday party?” The beagle says, “Uh no it’s a book launch.” The beagle is lying down next to a stand holding a poster of the book cover. The book cover has a dog on it licking its nose. The title is, “Brioche: A Mlemoir.”
