Protector of the Small fan comic number two. Panel 1: Keladry of Mindelan looks up at The Chamber of The Ordeal’s door with an outstretched hand. She says, “This is The Chamber of The Ordeal…” Panel 2: Side profile of Keladry looking up at the door. She continues, “If I survive, I’ll join those elite few who become knights.” Panel 3: A person in shadow approached Kel from behind and says, “Actually, we just pivoted to a pay-to-play model.” Kel turns away from the Chamber’s door with an incredulous look and says, “Excuse me??”
Panel 4: The person who approached Kel is King Jonathan. He says, “Yeah, anyone can go in there for a few crowns. The monthly subscription includes exclusive merch.” Jonathan is holding a tunic in his left hand that has text on it: “The Rules of The Ordeal, 1. You do not talk about The Ordeal, 2. You do not talk about The Ordeal, 3. You do not talk during The Ordeal” and in his right hand Jonathan is holding a glass domed case. Inside the case is a human finger sitting on top of a pillow. The label on the glass case reads: “100% Genuine Duke Gareth of Naxen’s finger.”
