Protector of the Small fan comic number one. Panel 1: Keladry of Mindelan leans against a wooden fence in her page uniform, looking sad. A person who is obviously Alanna the Lioness, wearing tattered clothes and a red beard, is pushing a cart of manure behind Kel. The person who is obviously Alanna is saying, “Oh, what am I gonna do with all this manure?” Panel 2: Alanna pulls the fake beard off her face and takes a dagger out of the pile of manure. She says, “Psst! Kel! It’s me, Alanna! I got you this kickass dagger!” Kel looks happy and thrilled by this reveal.
