Mabel Loomis Todd Reacts to Two Seasons of Dickinson. Panel 1: Mabel reacts to Emily and Sue kissing in the first episode. Mabel yells, "Ha! Are you kidding me??? Emily kissing Susan 'Frigid Calvinist' Gilbert??" Panel 2: Mabel looks smug and says, "If Emily kissed any girl, it would be me." Panel 3: Mabel glances away while adding quietly, "I mean, no, we never met in person..." Panel 4: Mabel continues angrily, "But we had a very deep, long-lasting relationship!"
Panel 5: Mabel reacts to a scene featuring Maggie. Mabel leans back in her chair and says, "Ugh, Maggie." Panel 6: Mabel continues, "I gave her the opportunity to clean my house for free and how does she repay me?" Panel 7: Mabel crosses her arms and says, "By opening her big mouth and telling lies about me and Austin." Panel 8: Mabel angrily adds, "It's none of her business who I'm fucking in my own house." Panel 9: Mabel says, "And The Homestead too for that matter."
Panel 10: Mabel reacts to Austin. Mabel muses, "Austin is very cute here, but he was hotter in his fifties." Panel 11: Mabel recalls, "He was like, 'No laughing on Sunday,' and I was like," Panel 12: Mabel notices Jane and points at the screen angrily, "Who the FUCK is that"
Panel 13: Mabel reacts to Sue and Austin's wedding. Mabel says, "Austin told me this was the worst day of his life, and you can tell you realizes that in this scene." Panel 14: Mabel continues, "That woman weaseled her way into this unsuspecting family and bled them dry!" Panel 15: Mabel happily adds, "I was born the same year they were married, did you know that?" Panel 16: Mabel concludes, "My birth would have been a great scene to include here, to show some hope in the future for Austin and Emily."
Panel 17: Mabel reacts to Emily and Sue talking in Sue's library. Mabel looks frustrated and says, "Oooooh Emily needed me so badly!" Panel 18: Mabel continues, "I was the only editor who was truly in her corner. Panel 19: Mabel goes on, "And do you see how that vacuous bitch is sucking the life out of poor Emily??" Panel 20: Mabel frowns and folds her arms while Emily and Sue touch foreheads. She concludes, "What a toxic relationship."
Panel 21: Mabel reacts to the séance in Season 2. Mabel narrows her eyes and says, "Hm yes this is accurate. I've communed with the dead several times." Panel 22: Mabel looks into the camera happily and says, "You know Lavinia's spirit actually asked me to forgive her for perjury?" Panel 23: Mabel gives Lavinia on screen the middle finger and says, "I told her ghost to fuck off."
Panel 24: Mabel reacts to Sue scolding Anna and Clara. She comments, "It's true she treated those little girls like shit." Panel 25: Mabel says, "I would never treat a child like that." Panel 26: A flashback to Mabel and Austin making out in a carriage. Mabel says "Mmmm Austin..." Mabel's young daughter Millicent is squished in between them and says, "...Mama?" Panel 27: Mabel reacts to Sam Bowles and Sue kissing. Mabel screams, "I knew it!!!"
Panel 28: Mabel continues yelling, "Didn't I say??? Didn't I tell everyone about their affair??" Panel 29: Mabel says, "Emily's retreat into seclusion is all Susan's fault!!" Panel 30: Mabel yells, "Her parents were drunken degenerates and her children were all hideous creatures!" Panel 31: Mabel continues, "Did you know that craven witch cursed me to have a stroke?!" Panel 32: Mabel says angrily, "She couldn't return to her nest in hell without one last parting shot!!!!"
Panel 33: Mabel continues, "Susan cheated first and it wasn't even for love because she's incapable of it." Panel 34: Mabel concludes, "Austin and I? Now that's true love." Panel 35: Mabel reacts to Emily holding Sue by her throat. Mabel looks turned on by this and says, "God I wish that were me." Panel 36: Mabel yells at the screen, "Where's my AppleTV+ series?"
Panel 37: Mabel continues yelling, "Do you know what kind of backbreaking work it took to edit those poems into something palatable??" Panel 38: Mabel turns to the camera and yells, "You wouldn't even know who Emily is without me!!!" Panel 39: Mabel continues, "I invented open marriage!!!!! I climbed Mt. Fuji!!!" Panel 40: Mabel concludes, "That's Peabody Award-worthy" Panel 41: Mabel jumps backward as someone approaches her holding a folding chair. A caption on the bottom says, "It's Mattie Dickinson Bianchi with the steel chair!!"
