Lord of the Rings fancomic. Panel 1: Théoden holds up a cup of wine in one hand and puts his other hand on Éowyn's shoulder. He says, "I will ride West to battle Saruman. Let the heralds announce to all Rohirrim that Éowyn will lead them!" Panel 2: Two riders approach Edoras. A caption reads: "Some time later..." Théoden says, "It's good to be... home?" He notices a sign in front of Edoras. Panel 3: The sign says: "The Edoras Eco-urban Proto-feminist Intentional Community, Welcome Ent Wives!!" Panel 4: Théoden looks upset.
Panel 5: Théoden and Éomer approach two guards in front of Edoras. Théoden says, "You there! What is the meaning of this?" Panel 6: One of the guards replies, "Welcome to Edoras friends." Panel 7: The guard continues, "By decree of Mother Éowyn, all visitors must relinquish any plastic bottles upon entry." Panel 8: The other guard adds, "The Ent Wives Welcome Ceremony starts soon... Tom Bombadil and Goldberry are performing in Tent 3." Panel 9: Théoden looks dejected and says, "... Bombadil?" Panel 10: Éomer looks depressed and says, "Truly a sad day for Rohan."

In the LOTR books, Théoden puts Éowyn in charge of Edoras before the Battle of the Hornburg (Helm’s Deep).
